Buying firewood can be confusing if you’re not familiar with the different volumes that are standards in the industry. At Panther Creek Firewood, we keep things simple by offering clear sizes that fit different needs — whether you’re cooking out, heating your home, or stocking up for the whole season. Here’s what each quantity means:
Bundle
- A small, wrapped stack of firewood, usually 6-7 pieces
- Great for camping trips, backyard fire pits, or grilling

Roughly enough for one or two fires

1/2 Rick
- Roughly 21–22 cubic feet of stacked wood.
- Great for occasional use, like weekend bonfires or supplementing another heat source.
- Standard stack size: 4 feet tall and 4 feet long, but only 8 inches deep (One log deep)

Rick (Sometimes referred to as a face cord)
- Roughly 42-43 cubic feet of stacked wood
- Standard stack size: 4 ft tall × 8 ft long × 16–18 inches deep
- A steady supply for regular fireplace or stove users

Cord (Three Ricks)
- Roughly 128 cubic feet of stacked wood
- Equivalent to three ricks
- Standard Stack Size: 4 ft tall × 8 ft long × 4 ft deep
- Great for stocking up for the whole season
